Mannum’s Mary Ann Reserve will be heated up this Sunday, March 12, when over 200 roaring hot rods make their way into town for the annual Hot Rod Show.
The spectacular gold 1939 Lincoln Zephyr from Auto Transformers in Adelaide (pictured above) will be just one of the vehicles on display, as well as 50 gleaming Chev Corvettes that will also be making an appearance as part of the Corvette Club of South Australia’s official run.
Leon Warhurst, Co-ordinator of the Mannum Hot Rod Show, said there will be hot rods, customs and classics of all shapes and sizes.
“The Hot Rod Show is a huge event for Mannum and our team of volunteers love bringing it back each year with proceeds assisting the great work of the Mannum Hospital Auxiliary.
“The 2016 event raised $8000 for the Mannum Hospital and we’re expecting a crowd of around 3000 people to attend, so the town will certainly be revved up,” he said.
The event will also feature 50’s/60’s rock n roll, with a large dance floor riverside and PS Marion cruises being run on the day.
The Hot Rod Show runs from 10am-4pm with a $2 entry fee.
