Wayne the Flowman’s Friday night footy and sports show is back on the Flow this week, from 5pm local time.
There will be localised programming for both Victoria & SA as Flowman jumps straight into the rundown of the local leagues.
The show has been running since Flow FM began in 2001, with Yarra Vally and Mountain District Football League Victoria and the Barossa Light and Gawler in SA.
League changes have occurred as our coverage grew, and the show now covers 12 leagues in South Australia and 7 in Victoria.
Wayne has had a range of guests over the years including AFL players like Damien Monkhurst, John Platten, Rodney Maynard, Daniel Schell and Martin Leslie along with the local heros, both past and present covering our regions.
In parts of South Australia, the Friday night footy and sports show also has netball reports.
Wayne has been busy preparing for the first programs and our regular guests are primed for coverage of their leagues.
“It is an exciting time as clubs, coaches players members and supporters gear up for the opening and then barrack their hearts out each Saturday for their town.
“We hope to capture some of the essence of footy in the life of our country people and bottle that on the Friday night footy show,” he said.
The program for 2017 is launching this Friday night, April 7 at 5pm, and again on April 21 at the regular time of 5pm for Victoria, and 4pm for South Australia.
Flowman closed with the following remarks, “All the best to everyone and I look forward to you joining me on Friday night for my 17th straight season on the Friday Night Footy Show.”
