A fire has broken out at J.T. Johnson & Sons in Kapunda, leading manufacturers and marketers of animal stockfeed.
Flow FM was first on the scene, speaking to a worker who wished to remain anonymous.
He believes the dust filter caught on fire, with smoke visibly pouring out.
When speaking to workers on site, they agreed weather conditions were favourable for containing the fire.
Another Johnson’s worker told Flow FM while appreciative of the fire crews and their hard work, the fire was blown out of proportion, and only required the attendance of one crew, not six.
Police confirmed the situation is under control, stating fire crews were working to put out the blaze.
The CFS have also confirmed the fire, with the status being ‘COMPLETE’.
