Earth Hour Celebrates 10 Years

This Saturday, March 25 between 8-9pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) is Earth Hour, when people participate in a ‘lights off’ phenomenon.

Celebrating its 10th year in 2017, the World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF) project started as a grassroots movement in Sydney.

Since then it has become a global phenomenon with over 35 countries, and an estimated 50-100 million people participating.

You can support Earth Hour this weekend by switching off your lights between 8 and 9pm AEDT on Saturday (8.30-9.30pm SA time).
