Carpe Diem is a play set in rural Australia that is currently being brought to a number of country towns, including Flow regions Woomelang, Warracknabeal and St Arnaud.
An entertaining play by Centre Stage Scripts, Carpe Diem looks at the way men deal with the issues of health, grief, loss and depression and stars acclaimed actor John Wood and fellow actor, Chris Pidd.
John spoke to Flow FM about his role in the production.
He believes Carpe Diem is important for the whole community, and particularly men to see, as it shares an important message.
And the play is having real affects on regional communities.
As a free event for community members, the play is followed by a Q&A session with the actors and supper for everyone to share.
You can catch Carpe Diem at a number of Flow regions over the next 2 weeks:
- Woomelang Memorial Hall, Friday March 31st
- Warracknabeal Town Hall, Monday April 3rd
- St Arnaud Town Hall, Tuesday April 4th.
